VPN62 Setup Guide

Get your subscription from the account dashboard, import it into the client for your platform, then check that the connection works. This guide follows the actual setup sequence and is designed to refer to during your first setup.

Create an Account and Save Your Login Details

Click “Start Free” below to open the VPN62 account dashboard. You only need a username and password to create an account—no email address required. Choose a username that is easy to remember but does not reveal your identity. Use a unique password that you do not reuse on other websites. After submitting the form, follow the dashboard prompts to open your account page. If you land on the sign-in screen, use the username and password you just saved.

First, make sure your account overview opens correctly, then continue to choose a plan. Creating an account and activating a paid plan are separate steps; being able to sign in does not mean a server connection is ready. The buttons on this page take you to the relevant dashboard sections. Check your account status, orders, and subscription details after signing in.

Use a password manager to save your login details, and sign out before leaving a shared device. Keep your account details, subscription link, and payment records separate. You do not need to share your password when describing an issue to support. If you see a username unavailable or sign-in error, check your input method, letter case, and extra spaces first. Then see the account help guide. Avoid repeatedly submitting the same information.

Choose a Plan and Review Your Order

After signing in, open the plans section and compare monthly subscriptions with data plans. Monthly subscriptions suit regular use, with data resetting each month from the activation date. Data plans suit occasional use: they last until the data is used and never expire. Before choosing, consider whether you mainly browse websites, use AI tools, or stream video rather than looking at price alone. Video streaming and file downloads typically use more data. Check your actual usage in the account overview after getting started.

VPN62 monthly subscriptions are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data plans are ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. Every plan supports unlimited devices connected at once, but using multiple devices still consumes data. Unlimited devices does not mean unlimited data.

Select a plan in the dashboard, then review its name, billing method, data allowance, and total due on the order page. Pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT, following the instructions shown on the payment page. After paying, return to the dashboard and check your order and plan status. If the status has not updated, check your payment and order records before placing another order.

If you upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Review the upgrade details shown in the dashboard before proceeding. VPN62 offers a 60-day no-questions-asked refund. See the Terms of Service for details. Once you confirm that your plan is active, continue to get your subscription. This helps distinguish an inactive plan from a client issue.

Get Your Subscription Link and Client

Once your plan is active, open the account overview in your dashboard and find the subscription options. Use the import option provided in the dashboard whenever possible; copy the subscription link only when manual setup is needed. The subscription lets your client retrieve server configurations. It is not a regular website address or an installer. There is no need to keep opening it in a browser, and never paste its contents into a public discussion.

Sign in to get the client and subscription. Open the downloads area in the dashboard, choose the client for your device’s operating system, and read the import instructions next to it. Client downloads for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux are available after signing in. The dashboard determines whether the iOS option is available; follow the prompts shown there. This page does not provide static installers or working subscription links.

If the dashboard offers both automatic import and link copying, try automatic import first if the client is already installed. Your browser may ask whether to open an app. Check that the app name matches the client you installed before allowing it to open. If the client does not launch, that does not mean the subscription is invalid. Copy the link manually and add it in the subscription or configuration section of the client instead.

Your subscription link is tied to your account’s server access, so protect it like a password. Do not replace your subscription with a configuration from an unknown source or send the full link to someone else to test. If you need help, share a screenshot with sensitive details hidden, along with your operating system, client name, and the exact error message. Once the client is installed and the subscription is copied, keep the dashboard available and continue with the instructions for your platform below.

Import the Client on Each Platform

The steps below start with the client provided in your dashboard. Use the client for your operating system that supports subscription management, rather than entering the link in your system’s built-in manual VPN server form. After import, you should see a server list or a configuration update. If you only see a configuration name and no servers, check the subscription refresh status before connecting.

Windows: Add a Subscription or Configuration

Download the VPN62 client for Windows from the dashboard, then install and open it. Find the subscription manager, configuration manager, or add-configuration option. If the dashboard offers automatic import, start it from your browser and allow it to open the client. To import manually, choose the option to add from a link, paste the subscription link you copied, save, and refresh. You can give the configuration an easy-to-recognize name; there is no need to include the full subscription link.

After the update succeeds, select the configuration and open the server list to confirm that the locations and server names appear. If the client asks to enable a system proxy or authorize a network component, confirm that the request came from the client you opened, then follow its instructions. For everyday browsing, start with the client’s recommended default mode. Avoid changing proxy ports, rules, and virtual network adapters all at once so it is easier to troubleshoot later.

macOS: Import and Review System Permissions

Choose the macOS client in the dashboard, install it, and open it. If macOS shows a security or permission alert, check the app source against the dashboard instructions. Do not disable system security settings just to continue. Open the client’s configuration or subscription page, choose import from link, paste and save your subscription, then refresh the configuration. If automatic import is available, you can also launch the client directly from the dashboard.

Once the servers appear, select a configuration and connect. macOS may ask you to allow a network configuration or enable a network extension. These are system steps that require your approval; follow the client instructions. When setup is complete, check the client status and make sure your browser does not have leftover proxy extension settings. If the browser works but other apps do not, keep the working configuration and test each app separately rather than deleting the subscription and reinstalling right away.

Android: Add a Subscription and Allow the Connection

Get the Android client from the dashboard and install it according to the download page instructions. Open it and go to the subscription, configuration, or import section, then choose the option to add from a link. Paste the subscription copied from the dashboard into the address field, save, and refresh. If automatic import has already added the same configuration, there is no need to add it again manually; this helps avoid selecting an old configuration by mistake.

Open the server list, choose an exit server, and connect. If the system asks for permission to establish a network connection, confirm that the request comes from the client you are using before allowing it. Return to the client to check its connection status, then test the browser or app you actually use. If the connection often stops when switching apps, check the system’s background activity settings for the client and retain the permissions it needs. There is no need to grant unrelated permissions for troubleshooting.

iOS: Install and Import from the Dashboard

Sign in to the dashboard and check the iOS client option and its current availability. Follow the dashboard instructions to start the installation. If the page says your account cannot access the option yet, first resolve the plan status shown in the dashboard. Do not look for an installer with the same name on other websites. After installation, return to the dashboard and try the import option to open the client.

If you need to add the subscription manually, choose import from link in the client’s subscription or configuration manager, paste the link, and refresh. When you connect, iOS will ask permission to add a VPN configuration. Confirm the source and follow the system prompts to grant access. Even after the system shows a connection indicator, test the app you want to use: the indicator only confirms that a connection was established, not that the app is using the correct route. To change exit servers, follow the client prompts to reconnect.

Linux users can also get the appropriate client from the dashboard and import the subscription using its instructions. Command-line tools, IDE plugins, and API requests may have their own proxy settings; these are not required for the initial import. Once the basic connection works, read the complete guide to accessing AI tools to troubleshoot app settings separately from client installation.

Connect to a Server and Verify It Works

After importing successfully, choose an exit server in the client and connect. VPN62 covers 90+ countries / 150+ servers. For your first connection, choose an exit location that matches the target service’s regional requirements. Do not rely on the city name alone to predict access, and avoid switching locations repeatedly while signing in or generating content. Before changing servers, save anything you are working on and follow the client prompts.

First, check whether the client shows that you are connected, then open a website you use regularly to confirm basic connectivity. Next, check that the exit location matches the server you selected. You can use an exit IP lookup tool you trust, but never submit your subscription link to a lookup page. With rule-based routing, regular websites and your target app may use different routes, so the exit shown by one website may not represent every app.

Next, open the service you actually want to use. For AI tools, check that you can open a conversation, send a request, and receive the complete response. For video, check that playback continues, not just that the homepage loads. Platforms independently assess availability based on your account, regional policies, and exit network. A successful connection does not mean every feature will be available. If a platform displays a restriction, read its message first, then decide whether a different regional server is appropriate.

If something does not work, check each step in order: is the plan active, did the subscription update successfully, is the correct configuration selected, are the required system permissions enabled, and does the connection mode cover the target app? Change one thing at a time, then test the same app again. Close other proxy tools that are running to reduce the chance of conflicting settings. Once troubleshooting is complete, note the configuration that works so you can repeat it on other devices.

VPN62 uses military-grade encryption to protect your connection. Keep your account password and subscription link secure. After verifying the setup, repeat the import steps on other devices; unlimited devices can connect at once. Remember to check your remaining data in the dashboard. For everyday connection issues, see the FAQ. For exit location, DNS, and per-app checks, read How to Check Whether Your VPN Is Working. To contact support through a ticket, use the account dashboard and include the step where the issue occurred and the checks you have already tried.
